PROJECT TAKEAWAYS
What I learned from this project:
Designing a B2B product requires a slightly different design mindset
Since my past design projects in school were simpler B2C products, I thought I would be able to take the same approach here. But with this project, I learned that B2B products are less about creativity and more about optimizing for both users and the businesses they manage with them.
Design systems are necessary to keep interfaces consistent
This was my first time designing by sourcing elements from an existing design system. While overwhelming at first, I grew to become fascinated at how robust and customizable a design system can be. Knowing that our design would have a consistent interface was very reassuring to me as a designer.
Always be proud of your efforts as a designer, no matter how small
This was my last team design project as an Interactive Design major at KSU. It was bittersweet, but the long process of not only working on this project but spending the past 4 years learning design has made me proud of how far me and peers have come. Knowing that I've made significant progress in only 4 years makes me excited for the rest of my design career. :)
